Alicia Basa & Mark Warner from Borachio are quite simply making frivolous wine from organic fruit and without any additions. They are persistently delicious and exciting.
After starting their winemaking work with James Erskine of Jauma, now Alicia and Mark have well and truly built their own reputation with Borachio, sourcing organic grapes from Mount Compass and Mount Torrens in South Australia to make light, playful wines with a cheeky soul. Zero additives and zero fuss.
Reductive and tight, this wine has a chardonnay core. It's tropical elements enhanced through carbonic fermentation. A nice cut of acidity to keeps it all together.
