"We are winemakers with an itinerant background, having worked in the Jura, Macon and Beaujolais regions. The wealth of experience gained, has led us to realise the enormous potential of the Languedoc, where our domaine is now situated. It took us a year of research to uncover what we consider to be an exceptional vineyard, here at Peyriac de Mer, in the Corbieres just 10 km. south of Narbonne.
The vineyard rise up to an altitude of 120 meters on slopes overlooking the salt lakes (etangs). They are situated between the sea and the Mediterranean scrub of the Fontfroide hills. This environment together with organic farming gives the grapes a natural flavour of this terroir. The deepness of the soil allows the vines to be well rooted and resistant to drought. The soil is of a red Mediterranean type, scattered with limestone. The vineyard is Demeter Certified.
Hand-harvested grapes, fermented as whole bunches. Only indigenous yeasts ensure fermentation, thus amplifying the aromatic complexity and the identity of our terroir… Vinified and aged in stainless steel vats.
Made from Grenache Noir, Carignan and Mourvèdre. Light, cherry color. Intense and subtle aromas. Berries, strawberries, pomegranates, fresh grapes, and floral scents. Stunning!
