About the winery!

A ubiquitous treasure, Frankland Estate is a family owned and operated boutique winery, buried deep in the heart of Western Australia’s most isolated wine region. Located 250km east of Margaret River and inland from the wild and picturesque Great Southern coastline, Frankland Estate was established in 1988 by Barrie Smith and Judi Cullam. Today they are joined by their children Elizabeth and Hunter and a small, yet hardworking and enthusiastic team to produce high quality flavorsome wines.

The Frankland Estate winery are committed to sustainable farming, organic viticulture, carefully nurturing the health of the soils in our vineyard, and only taking from the land as much as what can later be replaced by natural processes. The appreciation for the environment ensures they continue to grow with their land in accordance to the cycles of nature.

What to Expect!

FRANKLAND ESTATE ROCKY GULLY RIESLING 2018

This label showcases 100% Riesling from the cool climate region of the Frankland River. Hints of fresh pear and citrus blossom aromatically. Delicate spice undertones with generous sweet fruits. Considered a dry Riesling the core is balanced with floral and acidity which lends to its crisp finish.

FRANKLAND ESTATE ROCKY GULLY SAUV BLANC 2017

This wine made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc showcases on the nose Clean, fresh passionfruit, lychee and grapefruit. On the palate, crisp and delicate with a fine line of acidity, good texture and structure, and a zesty finish. Shows really beautiful purity throughout with a quinine-like layer adding to the juicy mouth-feel.

FRANKLAND ESTATE ROCKY GULLY SHIRAZ 2017

This label is comprised of 99% Shiraz and 1% Voignier. Bright juicy fruit and a lifted integration of black pepper, plum and spice notes. Creamy texture and subtle oak provides a poised finish. The tiny addition of viognier with vibrant shiraz fruit notes gives aromatic lift and subtle texture which makes the wine more approachable in its youth. Good acidity and fine tannins combine to create a soft finishing. Highly recommended!
