Dave Geyer and Koen Janssens are the Yetti and the Kokonut. These two high-octane, talented young winemakers have partnered up to produce some truly original and thrilling wines from sustainable vineyards across South Australia.
A friendship turned into a balanced wine making partnership, Yetti who manages the vineyards and Koko who does the sale side off the business. Together they make the wine. Strongly believing that it all starts in the vineyard, Yetti and the Kokonut always farm, co farm or have a strong input into the vineyards they take fruit from. The name Yetti and the Kokonut comes form our nicknames given during vintage. These wines are colourful, flavourful and a little tongue in cheek. Best served with good friends and plenty of good vibes.
The Yetti and the Kokonut wines are as flamboyant as their makers. Winemakers Koen and Dave are on a mission to make wines that are sustainable and insanely delicious.
Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are quite versatile, used in dry but fruity whites and sweet and luscious Sauternes, but here Yetti and the Kokonut have tried something a bit different, bringing you the wine you didn't ask for but which you definitely need!
Made using 50% each of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon from the Eden Valley, this is a new take on the blend, in many ways. The main tangent is the use of skin contact, which imbues the wine with greater body and different, richer flavours than a normal table wine.
Savouriness of nuts and honey mixed with some citrus and green fruit characters result in a rich and rewarding wine.
